About The Hosts

Whitney and Amy met at Austin360 Radio in 2019 and worked out pretty fast that the off-mic conversations were the better ones.

They have been having them on the record ever since. Sleep, hair loss, hormones, grief, and the running argument that midlife was never supposed to mean mid.

Whitney Stropp

Whitney, 55, is a native Texan and UT Austin grad who spent eleven years in Los Angeles building a 20+ year career in entertainment as an actress, stand-up comedienne, and radio personality. In 2017 she moved her family home to Texas, and three months later her husband Hunter died unexpectedly at 46. Whitney decided early on to take the hardest thing that ever happened to her and use it to see life for exactly what it is: a blessing, with a whole lot of humor and some therapeutic profanity along the way. She's currently also the co-host of the podcast Every Widow Thing, sharing experiences after grief.

Whitney is also deeply, unapologetically obsessed with all things longevity and wellness: if there's a protocol, a supplement, a red light, a cold plunge, or a study about how long we're all going to live, she has read it, tried it, and has thoughts.

Amy Edwards

Amy Edwards, 54, has spent 30 years behind a microphone and decided somewhere around 40 that it wasn't enough, so she picked up a guitar, taught herself to sing and write songs, and released five rock albums as a solo artist. She's also an author, a reiki master, a mom of two, and the CEO and founder of Overflow Bottle Co. She's come back from two divorces, depression, and a solid decade of overthinking to shine brighter with every candle on the cake, and she's remarried to the love of her life, humanitarian and former MMA fighter Justin Wren.

These days Amy hosts The Amy Edwards Show, co-hosts this very podcast with Whitney, and runs Fight For Her, a nonprofit initiative supporting the Batwa Pygmy women and girls in building independence and a future of their own. Her whole thing is that "midlife" was never supposed to mean "mid", and she has the receipts, the albums, and the radical honesty to prove it.
